Passion

Hand me an idea and I will turn it into a picture. Nothing beats sitting at my drawing desk accompanied by a piece of paper, a pencil and a marker and rework anything imaginable into an illustration.

Education

I studied filmmaking at the Royal Academy of Arts in The Hague, The Netherlands. After getting my Bachelor's Degree making the animation movie 'The Garden', I started working as a professional designer.

Personal

I'm married with one daughter, Hannah, who was born in 2000. My wife Thera writes for my comic strips and brainstorms with me on various projects. My favourite foods: Dutch pancakes, ice-cream, chocolate and a slice of white bread with old Dutch cheese or chocolate sprinkles. Since 2008 we live in Douglas, New Brunswick, Canada.
